Student pilot sponsorship program

The Friends of the Ephraim-Gibraltar Airport (“Friends”) offers a Sponsorship program to enable youth who attend a high school in the area of the Ephraim-Gibraltar Airport to pursue their interest in becoming a Private Pilot and obtaining their Private Pilot License. The offering of this program is up to $3,000 per year towards Flight Training. Ground School is a part of this training with Instructors generally covering parts prior to each flight, but it is the Student’s responsibility to do the majority of this on their own using books and/or software programs available. Students and/or their families must contribute for basic supplies including log book, workbooks, sunglasses, headsets, etc. Additional support may be awarded on a case-by-case basis. Students may choose a Flight School or individual Certified Flight Instructor (CFI) within the Door County/Green Bay area.
